Educating architects, building designers, builders, interior designers, and remodelers on ways to increase their business through home technology is top priority for the SaaviHome team! CEDIA, a residential electronic systems industry trade organization of which SaaviHome is a member.
As a CEDIA Outreach Instructor, SaaviHome offers course titles including Shade and Window Treatments Overview – Motorize, Integrate and Automate and Designing to Disguise: The Art of Hiding Technology, among others. These courses are designed for architects, homebuilders, remodelers, interior designers, building designers and related professionals.

Course Description
Lighting plays a key role in any room design, whether you're considering how to showcase a piece of art or how to set a scene for an intimate dinner party- the ways in which lighting can affect the feel of the room are undoubtable. What many may not realize is how technology can enhance and even simplify a home's lighting plan. Attendees will walk away from this course with an understanding of the variety of lighting design techniques that can be streamlined with the use of technology. Additionally, attendees will gain insight on how light quality is determined and how it plays into overall lighting design plans.
Intended Audience
This course is intended for architects, building designers, interior designers, builders, remodelers, and other professionals within the design and build industry who would like an overview of how electronic systems enhance “green” living and how these systems can improve the health and comfort of clients and their homes.
These COI courses are part of CEDIA’s industry outreach efforts, designed to strengthen collaboration between home technology professionals and the design and build industry. As technology continues to grow and change at a rapid pace, the courses that Gavin Lantzy offers help design and build professionals better understand the capabilities of residential electronic systems.
