Position Summary
We are seeking a qualified Director/Vice President of Land Acquisition to identify and manage land acquisition opportunities for our Tampa division. In this position you will play a key role in identifying, analyzing and negotiating the purchases of new communities for Richmond American Homes. Additionally, you will help ensure that our business plan objectives are achieved by establishing strategic partnerships with brokers and land sellers in the market. The Land Department is fast-paced, with a very deadline and results oriented culture. The compensation package for this position is robost which will include a competitive base salary with significant bonus potential with opportunity to be rewarded on a quarterly basis. (The title of the position will be determined at the time of candidate selection based on candidate skill-set and experience)
Responsibilities
Assess ongoing Inventory needs • Conducting Contract Negotiations • Analysis of Land Acquisition and Development Proformas for Senior Leadership review • Drafting Letters of Intent (LOI’s) • Extensive communication with Finance, Sales and Construction departments • Preparing written presentations for corporate review
Requirements
Experience in Land Acquisition, Land Development, Land Brokering or Land Sales is required. • A college degree is required along with a demonstrated track record of successfully managing budgets and Broker / Seller relationships. • Candidates with documented Land Acquisition experience in the Tampa, FL market are highly preferred. • Candidates must have excellent MS Excel skills and the ability to write and communicate at a very high level.
